Profoto Acute B battery cassette test rig
thingiverse
Test rig for moving the removable battery cassette in a Profoto Acute B rig to operate on the outside of the pack. Must be wired with heavy gauge wire, or you won't get accurate readings from a power meter, or you'll melt the wires. The Acute B draws 24-31 Amps from my tests, depending on what you can give it. I printed the top cap for the battery end in clear PLA and wired in two LED's, red and green, to indicate correct polarity or not. I may edit this later and add a few photos to aid in assembly. I used some brass strips to fabricate the contacts. It would have been nice to have a little bending jig or even a vice at the time. Life in Manhattan!
