Three-dimensional printing technologies are rapidly becoming more accessible, allowing individuals to create everyday items based on their needs and skill level. As a result, this technology plays a crucial role in the prototyping and manufacturing process. In the Design of Mechatronics course (41030) at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, students were given the chance to build upon and test their knowledge regarding various 3D technologies and utilize CAD tools as a foundation for combining manufacturing processes and components with three-dimensional printing. To accomplish this goal, students collaborated with Bang & Olufsen Create on a mission to design and construct a fully functional 3D printed speaker using existing technology and components.
