Production-side Decoupled Z-stage
thingiverse
This extension combines Twotimes' wobble arrester and Bophoto's floating-nut arrester ideas for improved Z-axis stabilization. It integrates with the custom Z-rod (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3755) to create a complete, out-of-the-box Z-stage that can be implemented as a stock feature on the Cupcake. If cutting your own panels, these parts can replace the original ones at similar costs. The only extra part needed are the Z-bearing guides, easy to make or print. Fully fastened, they function like the stock makerbot guides for easy rollback. This design is derivative of the Cupcake (GNU GPL), Bophoto's work (PD), and Twotimes' work (GNU LGPL). License clarification is welcomed. Bophoto suggested uploading a version with slots for two fasteners, using one with a locknut and leaving it slightly loose for optimal floating.
