A bottle is a container that is generally cylindrical at its base and narrows at its top. The bottles are most often made of glass or plastic, made by the blow molding process, sometimes in sandstone, and are used to store food liquids: water, milk, wine, beer, oil, etc., or non-food liquids: chemicals, detergents, perfumes, etc. By metonymy, the term bottle also designates its contents (as is the case with “glass”). We say for example “drink a good bottle”.
