Processing coaster

Processing coaster

This is a coaster featuring the Processing logo. I printed this design in multi-color using a single extruder. Use these coasters to hold your favorite drink. If you've printed one, don't hesitate to show off your skills and upload a picture. This coaster measures 100 by 100 by 5 mm, making it a standard size that fits perfectly in my coaster holder. You can find the design for this coaster holder at Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3130397 The Processing logo is closely tied to the Processing programming language. According to Wikipedia, "Processing is an open-source graphical library and integrated development environment (IDE) built for the electronic arts, new media art, and visual design communities with the purpose of teaching non-programmers the fundamentals of computer programming in a visual context." Processing uses the Java language with additional simplifications such as custom classes and mathematical functions. It also features a graphical user interface that streamlines the compilation and execution process. The Processing language and IDE were precursors to other projects, including Arduino, Wiring, and p5.js. I printed this coaster using Ultimaker white PLA and Octofiber black PLA filament. I set my layer height to 0.2mm and infill percentage to 18%. My extruder temperature was 210 degrees Celsius, and I used a 0.4mm nozzle with a heated bed. To add an extra touch, I paused the print mid-way through, changed filaments, and resumed printing. Designing this coaster involved selecting images from Google and transforming them into 3D models. For those interested in learning more about this process, check out my video tutorial on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6cmClwLhz8 (under 6 minutes). For anyone who needs to repair their 3D model files, I recommend using the Netfabb Online Service – a user-friendly solution that requires only an internet connection and web browser.
