Procedurally Generated Fire Hydrants from "Blender Scripting with Python" book

myminifactory

This collection of fire hydrant models graces the cover of my book "Blender Scripting with Python" in a ready-to-slice-and-print STL file format. Dive deeper into how they are procedurally created from scratch using Blender Python in Chapter 5 at https://leanpub.com/blenderscriptingwithpython. The models mirror those found within the book, except for being scaled 3X to produce prints ranging from 2 to 3 cm in height. The sample set showcased in the photos was printed with silk copper PLA, featuring skirt adhesion and no support.
