I designed this model a few years ago after acquiring a used Probotix Asteroid router. I identified several issues with the machine and leveraged it as a starting point to conceptualize and test possible modifications. This design is approximately 95% accurate, but I strongly advise against attempting to build it as depicted. Some owners of early Probotix machines may find it beneficial. Probotix has since reengineered the gantry and Z-axis to improve their rigidity, albeit still utilizing SBR style guides and bearings.
