For what feels like an eternity, I've been tirelessly working on a more substantial PBR MK-II. This particular PBR MK-II from ProBoats represents a critical milestone where I've aimed to assess whether I genuinely enjoy sailing with it before investing inordinate amounts of time into its creation. My primary focus thus far has centered around the WaterJet, and since the ProBoat lacks reverse functionality, I deemed it indispensable to develop this component. This endeavor involved integrating a waterjet system that complements the existing setup of the ProBoat. The files used for printing are included below; these parts were printed in PLA at the highest resolution my printer could accommodate. Note that some sanding is required due to the 100% tight fit. To address this, I carefully sanded only the waterjet end to ensure sufficient clearance between the two components. The newly designed waterjets part has been securely attached to the ProBoat's existing waterjet system. Moreover, two 9g servo holders have been incorporated to position the servos out of harm's way in case of water ingress. A hole was drilled at the very top of both the waterjet and hull, where a flexible outer tube with a diameter of .8mm and an inner tube containing piano wire were carefully inserted. This innovative setup enables optimal functionality and durability. The servos have been positioned adjacent to the motors and firmly glued in place to ensure a seamless sailing experience. I hope you enjoy this latest iteration of my PBR MK-II!
