Problems of thingiverse, download speed

Hello, I discovered one of the main problems with thingiverse, download speed. As we've all experienced, thingiverse has become slow and worse due to the terrible addition of "dropbox". Dropbox is a service (bad) cloud servers, similar to other systems that I don't trust. It was designed to steal, as seen in 2014's "The Fappening" [a collection of almost five hundred private photographs (nude selfie) of several celebrities that were hacked and posted online]. To fix the problem, all I did was add my computer's IP address to the list of blocked sites on Windows. This prevents Dropbox from entering, making downloads faster. What is the "Hosts" file? The hosts file on a computer stores the correspondence between Internet domains and IP addresses... It's also used to block web advertising content.
