Probe for surface scanning - CNC machine

It took several trials before I finalized the current design. To create this, you will need a 3D printer and some hardware components; an end stop switch, an LM8UU bearing, an 8mm spring, and a 6mm bolt that is at least 40mm long. Initially, I considered using an 8mm steel rod for the main part passing through the bearing but ultimately opted for a 3D printed piece instead. With some rough calculations, this probe tool cost me around two dollars - a maximum of three if I factor in the two failed design prints of the probe tool. The unique feature of this design is its ability to perform probing on uneven surfaces, allowing CNC jobs such as cutting or carving to follow the contours of the workpiece. Unlike other probing tools, which require electric conductive surface tape (like aluminum) on the workpiece, this probe tool does not need any such tape since it uses a switch instead.
