Just needed a more relaxed arm rest from my new turntable. This design gently supports the carbon fiber arm without "locking" it and IMHO the original design is better suited for transport. Being a so light and delicate carbon fiber arm, I prefer something that isn't holding it so firmly when I want to play some record.
