Pro Field Mount (1/4 Screw) Ubiquiti UniFi AP-AC-M
prusaprinters
Hi there, So, I like my gear. I rebuild almost everything so that's either more compact, versatile, lighter modular, or whatever the heck I do with it. Tho there was never an easy solution with my network on the go. It either was an Apple Extreme Router, which worked fine, in small proximity, or the Netgear Hawk or Asus Spider Routers which both broke down… faulty models Hardware like Netgear, Cisco, Ubiquiti, and MikroTik has won my heart but Ubiquiti just has a butt-ton of hardware that is hard to overlock. Therefore I started using the UniFi AP-AC-M for Coverage. I really like this guy. Simple, easy to use, weather resilient, and not too expensive. If I don't need an external gig or whatever, it increases the coverage for my garden. It's just… Not easy to mount or to lay down. The whole Body is just an irregular shape, that just looks weird to place, could fall down any time and it's just not professional. My little mount fixes this issue (at least for me) and has 2 M3 inserts to mount to included water leveler mount thingy and has 2x ¼" inserts so that it can be mounted to a Clamp or even a handy rig. My attempts of rebuilding the original mount and trying to make everything in one unit failed. At least the side walls are too thin, my ASA is a little too brittle, and saving 5mm of depth really doesn't make the car faster. So, I left it.If any are interested in those over bodies, I dropped them down below to download anyway. Printing:I printed this guy with ASA with a 0.12mm quality, supports, and half the speeds of the P1P, so the layer bonds are better. Parts List: 2x M3x5.7mm Inserts2x ¼" Inserts Body A is my finished product. Enjoy
