This is my first attempt at a transforming action figure. The figure transforms from an eco-friendly Prius into a high-tech robot. I designed the transformation process to be simple, but it still requires some tweaks (like adding hinges on the doors) to make it more seamless. For those with two-color printers, both single and dual extruder files are provided for your convenience. Assembly: The majority of the joints are cleverly designed ball joints that snap together effortlessly. To ensure a sturdy build, I recommend using glue to attach the head, driver front, and passenger front sections to the main body. Transformation tips: 1. Move the arms upwards towards the car's roof and fold your hands towards the front. 2. Rotate the legs 180° so the kneecap is facing upwards in vehicle mode. Print Settings Printer: I used a Flashforge Creator Pro with impressive results. Rafts: Yes, I used rafts to ensure smooth prints. Supports: Yes, supports were necessary for certain areas of the design. Resolution: A minimum resolution of 0.2mm or better is recommended for optimal print quality. Infill: 10% infill was used to achieve a balance between strength and weight.
