The pile of napkins, straws, ketchup packets, pens, and random items in my glove compartment threatens to fall whenever anything moves within its confines. This project is designed as a precise-fit bin to occupy the space efficiently. Its sleek design enables easy sliding in and out, with its front lip preventing accidental spills. Divided into two sections, this organizer system accommodates varying sizes of contents - larger for napkins and smaller for ketchup packets and other accessories. These divisions enhance organization, making it simpler to manage various items. To avoid deep-seated problems caused by door clearance issues when closing the glove compartment lid, the designed bin's depth was deliberately adjusted downward. This modification allows smooth closure and prevents potential conflicts. A lattice pattern at its base ensures reduced curling of contents stored within. However, a peculiar error in the design process caused by an issue during creation resulted in a faulty STL export file for the right bin configuration. Nevertheless, this was rectified using NetFabb. Both versions – before and after the correction – have been included for reference purposes.
