Prison Interior (B) Picón (Ciudad Real, Spain)

This model showcases one of two prison cells in the town of Picón, located in Ciudad Real, Spain. Its construction began in the 16th century and it is one of the few preserved examples in the La Mancha region. The model was created using 17 scans from a FARO Focus X330 laser scanner. The data were aligned and exported in FARO SCENE before being processed into a mesh in Meshlab. Data for this project were collected jointly by the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Fondazione Bruno Kessler, and CVAST at the University of South Florida in 2017 under permission from Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha. The project is now managed by the University of Castilla-La Mancha and Global Digital Heritage. Dr. Víctor Manuel López-Menchero Bendicho co-Directed this UCLM project.
