Prism Grip for in-camera special effects
thingiverse
Commonly available 150mm/6-inch triangular glass prisms are perfect for positioning in front of a camera lens to create in-camera special effects at home. However, they're hard to hold onto and quickly become smudged with fingerprints. This design is a grip that attaches to the ends of the prism. In the first grasp, the prism is held firmly through the rings with fingers, allowing for smooth movement around the prism while adding light leaks or reflecting what's off-camera into the photo. It can also be held in front of a face to reflect or double up features like eyes. In the second grip, the textured area outside of the ring keeps fingers out of the shot. By holding the prism along its long axis down the lens, kaleidoscopic effects can be achieved easily. Print out the plate component and place between the grip and the prism for a tighter fit if needed.
