Printruder II - Rear Breech Loading
thingiverse
The Printruder II, designed by Zaggo, has a prototype that offers direct access to the pinch wheel, making it easy to floss and reach grub screws. The idler bolt is loaded at the M4 end and pushed toward the pinch wheel for various benefits, including no need to dismount the motor for extracting the idler block, additional space for a filament guide ramp, a more secure idler block that's further from the insertion channel when under load, and adherence to Zaggo's installation instructions. The design accommodates a 688 ball bearing used as an idler, as the recommended one doesn't fit the pinch wheel from MBI. A modified version (V6) fits better with the 626 ball bearing for pinch wheel pulleys, dated May 20th, 2010. The original design can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1980, and the idler block is available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3154. Feel free to modify anything, especially the filament guide ramp if using a different sized idler bearing.
