Printrbot y-bar ends with flower nuts.
thingiverse
After two years, my printer developed squeaking noises and ruined prints due to the bed occasionally bowing and hitting the Y motor shaft. To resolve this issue, I decided to replace the Y-bar ends with longer versions to lift the bed. While doing so, I used flower nuts purchased from DX that I found through a search for "Brass Flower Screw Nut." These nuts are also available on other platforms. The Jtron M3 Brass Flower Screw Nut comes in two sizes: one with a 3mm hole pre-drilled for taping and another with a 5mm hole that may need cleaning. I installed the flower nuts by drilling out the 3mm hole, cleaning the 5mm hole if necessary, pulling the nuts in before fitting the bar ends, and using two washers in the gap while securing the nut with a long 3m screw.
