To save space and weight, I combined Gargi's NEMA 17 back box fan mount with Eddima's side-mounted fan for a top-sitting X axis motor blower on the Printrbot head. This angled 15 degrees directs air flow at the extruder head motor level from center to near side, making it efficient and effective. If attached to the bed side with the fan facing inward, it can also function as a decent bed fan due to its slight angle. The distance between the fan and extruder ensures a gentle breeze as opposed to a head-mounted fan. The mount is designed to be easily removable without rattling and features thicker walls for durability. A 50mm, 12 volt fan is recommended, using the fan mount from this Thingiverse link: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:24396.
