Printrbot Simple Z-axis Knob, v2
thingiverse
The knob created by Owens for the Z-axis on a Printrbot Simple was impressive, but I found some issues in his part design. The hole didn't pass through completely, and the nut fit was too snug. To rectify these problems, I made an improved version resembling his design. Additionally, I provided an IGES file for users with 3D CAD software to edit and modify as needed. This knob fits perfectly on the Printrbot's 5/16 threaded rod, requiring two 5/16-18 nuts (one at the bottom and one at the top) for secure placement. When slicing this model, I recommend using Kisslicer with support material, as I encountered difficulties with Slic3r both on this design and Owens' original knob.
