Printrbot Simple Filament Spool Holder/Coaster. I was unable to find a filament holder that suited my Printrbot Simple Metal, so I designed one over a year ago. However, it was overly complicated and utilized screws and bearings but still had issues. This new design is straightforward, can be printed in one run, and gets the job done! Plus, it works flawlessly, allowing you to leave your printer unattended without worrying about the spool jamming or falling off. Here are some of its standout features: It sits on top of the printer, saving desk space. All Spools sizes: This design supports spools up to 95 mm wide and around 200 mm in diameter. I haven't seen any larger spools, but if you need wider ones, let me know – I can create an extension. You can leave your printer unattended without issue. I've tested it with cardboard and plastic spools, and they rotate easily (just remember to position the filament feed from the bottom like my pictures, as this reduces stress on the motor). It allows for full Z access motion (up to 150mm) on all the spools I've tried. **If you're interested in mounting it on a table, let me know in the comments section – I can design a Table mount so you can use this with any printer.** I hope you like it and give me feedback to improve it! Tim Print Settings: Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple Black Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.15 works fine Infill: 20% Notes: Printing is straightforward, I designed the cap so I wouldn't have to print too much support. 20% infill is more than strong enough; you may be able to go lower.
