printrbot simple rod stabiliser and filament holder
thingiverse
The design has two primary functions: stabilizing the pair of 8mm vertical rods and guiding the filament to the extruder. To assemble, place the flat part on top of both rods; secure a rotating filament extruder with an upper piece, and fasten everything together using a zip tie. Print the model in three separate pieces labeled "main," "holder," and "cover." The variable PRINT_LAYOUT determines whether the whole model or individual parts are rendered. To select specific parts, insert "!" before the desired section within the "if (PRINT_LAYOUT)" block. Fine-tune the rod spacing by adjusting "sepRod=65.5955;" as needed. Adjust the radius of the rods with "rRod=8.2/2" for a snug fit. While attaching it to a Printrbot with hot glue is possible, it's not recommended due to potential impact on vertical travel; consider removing it occasionally.
