Printrbot Simple Metal Spool Holder for Aluminum Handle. Update: I added 60mm, 80mm, and 100mm width holders so you can directly print the STL you need. The photo shows a 90mm holder that I test printed successfully. The 100mm version should fit almost all spools. The 60mm fits the Hatchbox spools perfectly. The 80mm version is designed to hold JustPLA spools. With about 2-3mm clearance from the spool to the axis motor underneath. Update ends here. This Printrbot Spool Holder was created for use with the Simple Metal Handle. I had issues getting smaller Hatchbox spool sizes to fit on the handle, so I made this custom solution while spacing it out from the printer body properly. It comes with sunken screw holes that perfectly fit the stock metal handle screws. This 60mm spool holder is ideal for holding Hatchbox 1.75mm PLA spools. The angle towards the printer keeps the spool leaned against it and secure. You can customize your spool width, angle, and diameter in the OpenSCAD file to get your desired fit. Instructions: Print with an infill between 15% to 25% for a sturdy finish. It prints upright just fine at any of these settings: layer heights of 0.1mm, 0.2mm, or 0.3mm work all perfectly well.
