Printrbot Simple Metal Spool Holder Extender

This spool holder was created from a remixed Spacer file originally designed by Printrbot (https://www.youmagine.com/designs/spacer-for-metal-spool-rack). The author of this remix used Tinkercad to edit and customize it. You can also edit the file online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/9YTxznRHW8G. This design is a part of Printrbot's "Getting Started" first print project, specifically the Spool Rack Spacer (https://printrbot.com/project/simple-metal/). The filament spool I used was wider than standard spools from other brands. When printing objects taller than a few inches, the spool would get stuck in the Y-Axis rod as it rose higher on the Z-Axis. The Printrbot Spool Rack Spacer helped prevent jams, but my wider spool hung over the edge of the supplied holder. This extender snaps onto the end of the spool holder, providing access to the spool's lip by cutting out a space. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple Black Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: Make sure supports are selected everywhere, not just on the build plate.
