--UPDATE: Worried about the picture interrupting Z-axis movement? Rest assured - it won't, thanks to the clever design that keeps the tip of the printer extended below the lowest point of the linear bearing housing even with the Z-axis homed. The gap between the tab and the bearing housing ensures room for Z-axis movement. This upgrade utilizes a hidden, unused threaded hole on your Printrbot Simple Metal and an existing screw to its advantage. With the lock-in place design, a standard Masterlock works perfectly. As you tighten it into position, the screw becomes inaccessible for easy removal. Preventing rotation of the lock tab or unwanted unscrewing of the attachment is achieved by placing the pronged end on top of the Printrbot Metal to ensure security. Upgrading Your Printer: Follow these Steps Take out the back plate of your Printrbot Simple Metal, remove the original screw and washer and place them inside the tab that's uploaded for you. Simply fasten the new tab using the threaded hole from your printer, completing this quick fix that gets your printing back up in no time.
