LED Ring for 1403 Printrbot Simple Metal. After months of searching I finally found my LED ring specifically designed for the Printrbot (Ubis) hot-end but was not pleased with the lack of options available. Here's a design of my own. Instructions This print works reasonably well, however there is still room for improvement through fine-tuning. It can be easily attached by drilling small holes and screwing it onto the chassis or, like I did, just use hot glue as it doesn't weigh much. A few photos will follow showing how to set it up which should help others who are looking for a similar design. If this proves useful to you please don't hesitate to modify it and share your improvements with me. Note: Removing the Hot-End will be required in order to install the LED ring, however once installed, it can run on the fan circuit without issues or individually. Keep in mind the maximum current draw from your board when running it on the fan circuit as I did and regret not checking first. In my case, I rushed this process so improvements could potentially be made by adding a clip to the leading edge of the ring and eliminating un-needed tabs allowing you simply push it onto the chassis for easier placement.
