Printrbot Simple Metal LED mount

A Custom LED Mount for the Printrbot Metal Simple I was fed up with fumbling in the dark while trying to check on my prints, so I designed a simple yet effective solution: this 3-LED mount that attaches to the Printrbot Metal Simple's z probe. No complicated installations or drilling required. The following components are needed: Three white LEDs A suitable resistor for regulating current Wire to power the LEDs Instructions Print the mount and install the required electronics, such as a stripboard section to hold the LEDs in place. For this build, I ran three parallel LEDs through a 100 ohm resistor to prevent excessive current draw. Mounting holes on the design accommodate standard stripboard spacing. Mount the stripboard PCB onto the newly printed holder; for me, it fit like a charm and remained securely fastened due to friction. The header pin attached makes connecting power easy peasy. Next, place the LED-filled mount firmly onto the z probe of your Printrbot Metal Simple. Finally, plug in a reliable source of electricity; I tapped into my EXP1 header for both +5v and GND.
