Customizing the Printrbot Metal Simple 3D Printer to Use 213X200X3mm Glass as a Build Plate Allowing you to take full advantage of your printer, it's now possible to use 213X200X3mm glass as a build plate on the Printrbot Metal Simple 3d Printer. Initially, I had to swap out the Auto Leveling Probe for a 7mm variant due to its larger dimensions; however, an alternative solution could be implementing a piece of sheet metal underneath the glass or using aluminum tape spots directly on top. For printing custom designs on the Printrbot Metal Simple and assembling them into working pieces with buttons (R1, R2, L1, L2), all you need is a printer that supports this function. These elements can be joined using the included ties to form an actual working button combination. A crucial point is the ability to print right and left sections entirely. To do this, however, you would require a slightly larger print bed, allowing for full-sized creation and easier disassembly. I consistently clean off my 3D prints by washing away aqua net spray after each printing cycle. When facing difficulties with detaching your printed object from the glass surface, just freeze both for about five minutes; this makes removal significantly smoother and effortless. Below you'll find my set of customized 3D print settings: Printing using Simply3D Software settings was all it took to complete this build. Printing with a 20-25% infill proved highly effective for producing strong prints without over-complicating things too much
