Fiftyan6xy06r6n's Version 7.1 Did Not Fit Properly on My Simple Metal, So I Made Adjustments. Fiftyan6xy06r6n's Version 7.1 printer model did not quite fit my simple metal build, which led to a few problems. The first print layers scraped off the bed and it was about 1.4mm longer than necessary for the Z-probe calibration. This caused the Ubis hot end to be misaligned with the center of the shroud, pointing more towards the fan side instead. When I attempted to home in on Y and Z axes, the printer hit the frame above the X-motor because the part had encroached into that area. In order to address these issues, I tweaked his design a bit so my hot end would now sit squarely within its designated space. The initial adjustment reduced the print height by approximately 1mm in an effort to keep it away from the bed while also reducing friction. The added clearance allowed me to homing into place safely. For version 7.1.2, which printed in blue, I enlarged its internal chamber somewhat, extending its vertical section that encircles the extruder to decrease back pressure even further. A test print lasting three hours ended in clean and problem-free results. Not a single clearance issue emerged throughout this long process. Caution is advised: because there could have been unintentional adjustments during software upload to match exact STL dimensions of 7.1 in regards to precise measurements. To Re-Produce: Follow These Exact Instructions Below. Print with PLA at 208 degrees Celsius and speed it up using a moderate print rate of 25 mm/s for high resolution (0.2mm). Add support with rafting if needed due to adhesion troubles stemming from colder temperatures lasting longer than desired; print duration equals one hour, nineteen minutes long overall; do not hesitate, this printer model needs rafts or else your results won't show as they could and should because no other setting options can give you better end product so try adding that layer.
