PrintrBot Simple Metal Build Plate for Simplify3D
thingiverse
I've seen several other people implement adding a model of their printer to Simplify3D software, and I was intrigued by the idea. So, I tried it out for myself and came up with these build plate models. **MacOS Setup:** • Download the STL file available on this page • Open a Mac Finder window and select "View > Show View Options" from the menu • Click the checkbox next to "Show Library Folder" • Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Simplify3d/S3d-Software/ • Place a copy of the STL file there **To install the STL model in Simplify3D:** • In Simplify3D, select "Simplify3D > Preferences... > Machine" and click on "Add" • Add the STL file to the "Printer Models" section • Click "OK" With these steps complete, you'll have a PrintrBot Simple Metal build plate model in Simplify3D. The print head is located at the 0,0,0 position for a 150x150x150mm print area. I've included three different versions of the models as well as STEP files so you can modify them to suit your needs. If you're running on a PC or encounter any issues, check out this page in the Simplify3D forum for more information: https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2356&p=12342#p12342
