Printrbot Simple Metal 17mm Z Sensor Wrench

thingiverse

I created this drawing as a challenging project to master modeling in Fusion 360 and a demanding "Hello World" assignment for Thingiverse. This 17mm wrench was specifically designed for adjusting the Z-Axis sensor on the Printrbot Simple Metal. This wrench has been engineered with a web that boosts strength to the jaws of the tool – preventing the plastic jaws of the wrench from warping under stress. The structural web is relieved to clear the sensor body and enables the tool to lock in snugly over the top and bottom sensor positioning nuts. You should print two wrenches for your use. I found this wrench to greatly simplify the adjustment of the sensor position and offers a great alternative to more flexible or weak wooden laser-cut iterations. Enjoy!
