PrintrBot Simple LED & Fan mount for wooden direct drive extruder
thingiverse
To capture a new photo of my modified Simple, I noticed my temporary fan and circular LED light setup. Deciding it was time for a proper mount, I followed these steps: print the required part without support; secure the 40mm fan with screws/nuts from an old server to the part; tighten the fan well to avoid vibrations; remove hotend screws from plywood and reinsert them through the part; attach LED light to the ring using tie-wraps or tape; plug the fan into a 3-pin connector at the top; and finally, connect the LED light with the ground wires from the bed heater's left pin and the e-stop connector's bottom pin.
