Printrbot Simple Infinite (v0.1)
thingiverse
This project was designed using Tinkercad and can be edited online at https://tinkercad.com/things/hH0x2ioC8xp. It's my first attempt at a Printrbot Simple conveyor mod, which could benefit from gear reduction. For version 0.2, you won't need to disassemble the original Simple if you have spare parts. You'll need two 5/16" dowel rods, long paper or material for the conveyor belt, eight small M3 bolts, and twelve zip ties. Print four roller halves, two of each roller support, and one axle coupler. Remove the print bed, X motor, and linear bearings. Attach dowel rods to the bottom of the Simple using zip ties, then secure the X plate. Convert two linear bearings into roller bearings and attach them to roller supports with 6.5" rods as axles. Use an axle coupling composed of tapered and even halves, attaching the vinyl tubing from the X motor's shaft. Secure the build plate and add non-slip material on the rollers for grip. Wrap the conveyor around the rollers, recalibrate X, and disconnect the X axis limit switch if present. Refer to Tinkercad model for more details, and use G code like "G1 X100; G92 X0" after each print job to start fresh.
