Printrbot Simple, Hinged motherboard holder, easy access.

Recently Updated on 3rd June 2014: The previous hinged part's lugs were found to be weak; thus, a stronger version has been uploaded, replacing the older ones to prevent confusion. The wiring on the Simple was also tidied up for easier board access. If you have any suggestions for improvements, feel free to share them. A split version of the holder is now available for those with smaller print areas. Version 4 of the latch with a hump has been implemented for improved stability. It's suggested that the latch be rotated head-on by 90 degrees for enhanced strength. When making this, you might need to extend some cables, like the Z-stop and Z-motor. The Z and Y motors were switched, resulting in a quieter printer. To modify the cable lengths, cut and splice them as desired. The assembly consists of three components: the bottom part, board holder, and latch. Attach the power socket to the bottom part first, then secure it to the Simple. Fasten the board holder using cable ties as per the original method. Tuck a cable tie between the flange and USB cable if needed. Hinge both parts together and attach the latch. Print the fixed end according to your screw size, and use taps for better results on the Simple. Clean-drill 2mm holes for the hinge, and you might not need to drill at all if using small pin nails. Now, accessing the motherboard is as easy as dropping a latch!
