The z-axis rod ensures that the filament is correctly guided and doesn't flop around near the print area. Post-printing, I had to enlarge the hole slightly due to a potential z-axis issue causing layer squishing. Lubrication and manual adjustment of the z-axis resolved this, resulting in straight printing up to the top half. No reprint was necessary, but please comment if the 9mm diameter hole needs expansion, as it allows for shrinkage. The actual diameter should be approximately 8.3mm.
