This project involved adding a cooling fan to a Printrbot Simple's extruder motor, as it was overheating after prolonged printing sessions. The fan has proven effective in keeping the motor cool and not even warm to touch. It attaches to the top screw holes of the Y axis, but requires wiring for power supply - an ATX power supply is used with a hard drive connector. The model could use further refinement, but the current version will remain as-is until it's remade.
