Printrbot Simple Dual Extruder
thingiverse
Dual extrusion for the simple user - is it actually feasible? I'm genuinely intrigued, and my curiosity got the better of me when I printed out the prototype. However, due to time constraints, I was unable to set up or test the device. Still, I figured I'd put it out there for fellow users who feel adventurous enough to give it a shot. Please be aware that I'm providing this file as is, with no warranty and no guarantees. If you decide to try printing with dual extruders, you're essentially on your own since my understanding of the process is extremely limited. That being said, if any brave users are willing to take on the challenge, please do let me know how it goes - I'd love to hear about your experience! Keep in mind that this model is compatible with my 300mm no sag mods and works equally well with both single and double precision printers. 2014-11-18: A Bowden conversion part was uploaded to allow either or both sides of the device to be converted into a Bowden setup using a 1/8 NPT push tube fitting. 2014-12-04: A modified Bowden conversion without the motor mounting option has been uploaded.
