Obtain a knob and locking nut printable version for your Printrbot Simple v2 with 1/4" Acme threaded rod on Z-axis. The provided .stl file gives both components, as finding Acme nuts can be challenging. Thread the nut onto the top of the Z-rod, then add the knob. Tighten the nut against the knob's base using fingers, no wrenches needed. Customize parts with OpenSCAD files, and download the Screw Library from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8793 if desired.
