To illuminate a Printrbot Simple 2014's build platform, attach three 5mm LEDs (preferably wide angle) via parallel connection through a 5.6 ohm resistor to the 5V EXP1 or EXP2 connector on the printer board. For 12V power, use a 15 ohm resistor or wire LEDs in series with a 12 ohm resistor. Print the bracket, install LEDs, and connect power for a lit print tip experience. Secure components using heat shrink or hot glue as needed.
