This thing enables attaching Taulman's small spools directly to the original mounting bar. Even affordable PLA is strong enough for this application, as long as you're aware of a few critical caveats. Note that whenever you put this setup in place or remove it, you'll need to either disassemble the attached pieces by removing the screws that hold them together or take a more involved approach like counterboring the existing screw heads with a 6mm drill and shortening the opposing side's screws using a Dremel tool.
