Printrbot Simple 1405 Webcam Mount
thingiverse
I was determined to mount my webcam directly onto my print bed, enabling me to capture high-quality video recordings of my prints in real-time. Unable to find a suitable camera mount designed specifically for webcams on simple setups like mine, I took the initiative to design and build one myself. My trusty Logitech Quickcam E3500 features a pivoting mount that needed to be integrated seamlessly into this new contraption. To accomplish this, I cleverly added a portion of that pivot mechanism onto the print, allowing my webcam to maintain its pivoting functionality. This custom mount is divided into two parts to ensure a smooth and easy assembly process. I recommend using either one or two M3 screws (16mm or 20mm) provided with your printer to securely attach it. After successfully printing mine, I made a few modifications before sharing the design online. As a result, my final product differs slightly from what you'll see here. I printed my mount using an optimal layer height of .3mm and 30% infill to ensure durability and strength.
