UPDATE: Big Design Flaw Found. The Shroud Hits Cap Head Bolts on Right Side of Heated Print Bed. Replace Stock Cap Head Screws with Pan Head Screws. Temporarily, I replaced the cap head screws with lower profile pan head screws but need to redesign the shroud so it clears stock cap head screws. You Must Remove Stock Cap Head Screws and Install Pan Head Screws. A photo shows the type of screws used. This may only apply to E3D V6 hotend since it is shorter, while stock hot end might not have same clearance issues. I encountered some print quality issues with areas farthest from cooling fan on left side of Printrbot. I noticed Ultimaker 2 has cooling fans on both sides of its hot end and decided to rig up a temporary second cooling fan mount on my printer for improved prints. Print quality dramatically improved so I designed a permanent second cooling fan mount and shroud. This is my second design, still in progress. A small bracket will be added to the fan mount, and the shroud needs smoothing out. It works well despite needing tweaks. The current shroud is designed for E3D V6 hot end; testing with UBIS hasn't been done yet. I designed it in two parts so it can be adapted for other hot ends. Designing This Was Tricky The Z axis sensor gets in the way, requiring many revisions of the shroud to fit well and direct air properly.
