Printrbot printhead wire clip
thingiverse
This metal clip shields the wires connected to the print head on the Printrbot simple machine from damage. It fastens onto the Y-arm, just above the fan, and keeps the wires clear of other moving parts that might crush them or make printing issues. If you don't use it, your wires may: \n1) get pinched between the extruder motor and the Y axis motor.\n2) jam the Y axis, causing a mess like grinding or poor prints.\n3) break from constant bending near the motor. Problems 1 and 2 were experienced often by some users. Issue 3 happened to one of my friends who ran their printer for many months before realizing the cause. It was tough to figure out and fix. Instructions 1) Print the file. 2) Remove two bolts from the fan holder that is mounted in the Y-arm. 3) Position the clip over the attachment points, making sure its holes match up with theirs. 4) Replace the bolts so they keep the clip and the fan secure. 5) Put the wires into the round end of the clip, where they are stored inside a tubular wire holder. 6) Secure the wires with a small zip tie.
