This foot fits snugly into a 1/4-inch hole and was specifically engineered for the Printrbot Play. It elevates the printer about a quarter inch higher, providing superior cooling for both the control board and steppers beneath. The stock feet typically leave a 1/16-inch gap between the printer and its surface, but this modification eliminates that space entirely. Since these feet are made from TPU95A, they should also offer some degree of vibration dampening as an added benefit. The Metal Plus uses this same foot design but adds a metal cover at the bottom. In contrast, the Simple Metal model does not employ any feet. Interestingly, the Simple Pro appears to utilize a similar type of foot, although it is enclosed and therefore won't enhance cooling performance.
