Human: Installing an Optical Z-Endstop on the Printrbot Plus v2.0 via Mechanical Switch Endstop Mounting Holes. Instructions for Installation: Use a 3D printing setting of 3 Perimeters and 40% Infill. The optical sensor used in this project is purchased from Amazon, at the following URL: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FHHRJVE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Multiple versions of this style of optical sensor exist. However, be aware that some output a reverse signal required for endstop usage. Fortunately, the chosen sensor emits low (0V) signals when not obstructed and high (~3.5V) signals when obstructed, which meets the correct signaling requirements for use as an endstop. This is common in Printrbot and likely other printer boards. A PC case fan extension cable was purchased and used instead of a regular wiring harness, this had to be soldered onto the backside of the board only. When choosing wire colors for wiring (which I recommend), note that it will need swapping: black wires go to GND, Yellow to OUT, and Red to +5V. Installation was complicated slightly as there is less than 0.3mm clearance between screw thread by itself on either side, so a lock nut must be left on when installing sensor screws; The bracket used has holes which are little too big for this, which helped in the process of aligning with other mounting brackets your actual results may vary. For attachment, flat head machine bolts I had laying around was used to fasten board to bracket I do not know exact bolt dimensions
