Extend your y-axis to 150mm! All you need is two 8mm 10" rods and a longer GT2 belt, both of which can be found on eBay for less than $20 total. This idea was inspired by nucgloworm's model. This cannot be printed on the Printrbot Play since the width of the part must exceed the printable width of the printer. I originally wanted to use nucgloworm's design, but I didn't like how sharp it was and how it was multiple pieces (which makes it possible to print on the play, but also less sturdy and requires extra screws). Mine prints as single pieces but does require a printer with a larger build volume. The front piece is tighter on the rods so they should hold them in place. If one is loose, use some teflon tape around the end to tighten it up. The rods stick out of the back a bit, but this doesn't cause any problems; just keep it further away from a wall. Print Settings Printer: Printrbot Simple Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 50% Grid Notes: If you don't have grid infill as an option, print it at 100% infill. Layer adhesion is important for a structural part like this and since rectilinear infill alternates direction every layer, there's very little internal layer adhesion with it. 100% may also help if you're having issues with the hole overhangs curling, which can result in looser holes.
