I created a clip-on attachment for the Printrbot Play's spool holder to prevent filament tangles and enable unattended prints. The issue arose from rolls of filament without solid spools, which caused the printer to pull the filament off the spool holder during printing. This led to frequent tangles and made it impossible to leave the printer unattended. To resolve this problem, I designed a solution that can be printed quickly in under 20 minutes. The design is extremely simple yet highly effective.
