Printrbot Play Cable Tamer
thingiverse
The Printrbot Play is fantastic, but that annoying cable bundle always appears to be on the verge of getting snagged on the print bed. After one of my prints mysteriously shifted about a centimeter in the Y direction, I realized something needed to be done immediately. Honestly, life's too short to worry about this trivial issue anymore. Fix it for good with this solution! First off, a big thank you to Andy Leer who did groundbreaking work on his legendary "Printrbot Play Cable Shelf" that paved the way for next-generation Printerbot Play cable management systems. The "Tamer" is wide enough that the cable bundle won't slip and fall between the bed and the base while being tall enough that it won't rub against the bed either. Simply clip it to the rear left wall of the housing and forget about it. If you're a bit worried that it might slide off and cause a fire or something, use some paper or tape - or hot glue it in place! Hope you like this solution!
