Printrbot Play 80mm Fan Shroud
thingiverse
I encountered problems with the standard fans and discovered a USB case fan that sounded ideal for experimenting with getting my Play working correctly. As an 80mm fan, I had to position it far enough back from the extruder so it wouldn't hit the sides of the printer's casing. So far, I haven't figured out a way to set up a print cooling fan, but this resolved my extruder clogging issues and the heatsink remains cool to the touch even after an hour of printing. I had to make some modifications after the one in the photo, so it might not be flawless. I suggest printing at 100% infill so the weight of the fan doesn't bend the shroud. You probably know your print bed adhesion better than I do, but I used a raft on blue painter's tape prepped with some rubbing alcohol. Fan shown: External USB Case Fan
