This design offers an upgrade to Drawcut's spur gears, addressing a common issue where the small gear would crack near the nut. To prevent this problem, I added extra material around the side with the nut. The gear is engineered for easy installation and removal without requiring disassembly of the motor or other gear. Simply align the gear so that the reinforced area does not interfere with adjacent teeth. I've successfully implemented this design on my Printrbot Original, with great results so far. If you need to edit an STL file, I highly recommend using TinkerCAD – it's user-friendly and easy to learn. When printing, use 100% infill in the specified orientation. Note that the gear teeth may initially sag due to overhanging material, but this will stabilize after a few layers of printing.
